If while attempting to archive and transfer a student in SAS you receive the message 'Student has classes in the current reporting period', you will need to open the class editor and remove the student from all existing classes.
IMPORTANT: If you want the student to receive a report for the current reporting semester you will be unable to archive and transfer the student until the reporting period has been closed.
To do this in SAS, go the Reporter Pro menu, the Reporting sub menu and then select the Classes menu.
NOTE: If the Classes item is not present in the Reporting menu then you may not have the required permissions to complete this action. If this is the case, please contact our IT support help desk (contact details are at the bottom of this page) so that we can add you to required permissions.
Once you have the Classes editor open, the easiest way to remove a student from all their classes is to un-tick the 'Only Show Selected Teacher' option at the bottom of the screen.
Then change the 'Filter by' drop down list to 'Student'.
Use the binoculars to bring up the student search box and select the student you are attempting to archive. This will reduce the classes list to only those classes that the selected student is enrolled in.
Expand one of the classes which will contain a list of all students in that particular class, right click on the student you are attempting to archive and click 'Delete Student From All Classes'.
Once this has been completed you will be able to Archive and Transfer this student successfully.
